The government gave its nod for setting
up a new committee which will consider, examine and make recommendations on
allowing import or acquisition of aircraft for various purposes by airlines.
After analyzing the proposals, the panel would make suggestions for operation
of scheduled air transport services, regional scheduled air transport services
and non-scheduled air transport services.
Members of the Committee:
- Chairman: Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Civil Aviation Ministry
- Director General of Civil Aviation
- Chairman of Airports Authority of India
- Commissioner of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security
- Former DGCA H S Kohla
- Joint Secretary (Domestic Transport)
